Tool Description:

Data I/O's ProMaster tape and reel system is a flexible, cost-effective option for the ProMaster 3000, 7000, and 7500 handling, programming, testing and marking systems. An adhesive taping system for surface-mount devices (SMDs), the tape and reel attaches to the output side of either the ProMaster 3000 or 7000. Parts are fed directly from the handling system into the taping system, where they are placed in the tape and pocket and then heat-sealed and stored on a reel. This complete tube-to-tape operation eliminates the manual step of transferring parts from tube to tape at a later stage in the manufacturing process for loading onto a pick-and-place line. As a result, you're ensured lower cost because of a reduction in labor, better component reliability due to less handling and exposure to electrostatic discharge (ESD), and improved overall quality and manufacturing flow that come from having a streamlined manufacturing process.
